Dwight Diller

(1946-2023)

YewPine Cultural Traditions Inc.  (YPCT) was established as a 501-c-3 nonprofit organization to identify, preserve and promulgate the cultural heritage of the Appalachian region.

Dwight Diller founded YPCT to facilitate bringing new generations to appreciate and carry on the Old Time music and storytelling of the Hammons families and others.

YewPine Cultural Traditions held its founding Board of Directors meeting on January 5, 2016, at the McClintic Library in Marlinton, West Virginia (Pocahontas County).

Founding Members of the Board were the following, left to right: Michael Brooks; Teresa Hammons; Pam Johnson; Allen Johnson (far right). Dwight Diller participated as a consultant.  Several years later, Pam Johnson and Michael Brooks resigned in good standing. Dwight Diller (red shirt, wearing a cap) was consultant.

YPCT Board of Directors

At the time of this update August 3 2023, the Board is reorganizing. In addition to Allen Johnson and Teresa Hammons, added new  Board members are Catherine Rowe, Jamie Lovejoy, Andy Fults, Callum Lane, Matthew Evans, and Trevor Hammons.  Profiles on each member are in process (see links to names above).
